Agile Transformation Journey in Retail Industry
Short Description
During the pandemic, a well – known fashion retailer company faced challenges in adapting. To stay competitive, satisfy customer needs, and grow, the company needed to transform into a more agile, online-focused entity.
As Digital Transformation Coaches, we were dedicated to supporting OmniIT Digital Tech in becoming more agile and most importantly outcome-focused.
Highlighted Accomplishment
Transformation Roadmap
Together, we created a transformation roadmap. This included various streamlines, each assigned to responsible leaders. Progress was evaluated bi-weekly to ensure alignment with our goals and make necessary adjustments.
Structural Transformation
Team transformation took place, from a domain-based to a product-focused structure. This shift enabled more targeted and efficient responses to market needs.
Addressing Challenges
One major challenge was clarifying roles and responsibilities. We conducted workshops to establish clear responsibilities, addressing overlaps and different perceptions. This ensured everyone understood their roles and others’ roles within the new structure.
Building Product Focused Teams
We created outcome-focused teams, each with a clear identity and purpose. Our two-week kickoff event, including specialized training sessions, interactive workshops, and dynamic team-building activities, significantly increased team collaboration and communication
Fostering Collaboration
To prevent teams from working in silos, we integrated elements of the Scaled Agile Framework and introduced Program Increment (PI) Planning. This created bridges between teams, promoting synergy and coordination.
